John D. has been " getting at it "

Finally , the Farmers are in the fields "getting at it" the area is a buzz of activity as they get the various wheat crops off , up here it is mostly Durham ,Barley ,Canola ,Peas and Lentils ,high protein food for the feathered friends  .The Pointers a  have been pretty up beat lately ,more covey finds on Huns plus a few Sharptails thrown in for good measure , despite the recent heat wave Dog work has been excellent .
Tish is still getting in on the Duck and Goose action , and the Waterfowl numbers continue to grow.
Fall is here on the Prairie and everything is alive and moving  , British Columbia claims to be "the best place on earth" ,   .. not now.
