I seem to recall fishing the upper Tully about two weeks ago. Faint memories of swarms of Tricos filling the air and fish rising within easy casting distance. Memory seems clouded by visions of a very large burrito held close to my face.
Here's the pics. courtesy of Johno:
Here's a nice soft tank clanker to get your motor running.
Here I display some sort of fish related item, while behind me an anonymous angler looks on.

Memorial Weekend Update
Due to lack of access to an acceptably operating internet interface device, the Memorial Weekend reportage is woefully behind schedule. Please accept my apologies and the token of solace displayed below for your viewing pleasure.
This photo depicts Double D cutting off the excess material at the top of the worlds most awesome fire ring while Bear performs fire watch.
Does a Bear fish in the river?
The First Annual Minion Home Brew Tasting. Depicted right to left are; a fine Belgian Blond, a full flavored Brown Ale and a nice Belgian Trippel.
Some other samplings from the weekend incllude this nice Brown Trout,
a particularly difficult Brown fooled near the 17 bridge,
and this Rainbow which fell for a Challenged Sulphur at the Noisy Weimeranner Pool.
All in all a fine weekend out for the Minions who were able to attend.

Day Late Bacon & WB Brown
Stopped in Friday at the Circle Deli @ Public Square in Wilkes Barre for a lunch snadwich and found this specimen...
known as the Owens Original, (a classic BLT on rye with the added dimension of 4 slices of gyuyere cheese. Mmm, mmm, mmmm, tasty!
After the process mapping festivities concluded I stopped off at a local watering hole to sample something called a "Dirty Hoe." More later, but it involves Hoegarden and Framboise...
And now for today's update. The WB's browns at the Woofing Canine hole were quite interested in size 14 rusty spinners this evening. I caught 2 smallish ones before returning to the chateau and my lovely bride.
Keep in mind that the net is very large...

Memorial Day Weekend
I think it is time to get the discussion started on the plan for Memorial day weekend. First off who is in? Second off where are we going? Shall we try to camp for drakes on Penns? Is the Chateau de "Lewis" for the sulfurs and drift boating on the West Branch again an option for the weekend? Or shall we do a very unconvential weekend and hand out wedgies to nerds at the "Fanime" Convention in San Jose California. We can also decide on important questions like: who has the best home brew or will John be sporting a "Bota Bag" for the weekend.

Turkey Hill Brewery
Visited the new micro-brewery adjacent to The Inn at Turkey Hill tonight.
Stew was so busy he couldn't return my phone call, but Crazy Craig was there.
Tried the Dubbel, Belgian Ale and Belgian Blond, and all were better than expected.
Had a burger which was quite tasty as well.
Witnessed the desert of the apocalypse, a porter ice cream on porter beer float. Didn't try, salivated instead.
Do try this at home! Queue sounds of angels in awe of the awesomeness that is this all beer desert.

Taming of the Brew: A Review
Upon entry to Bloomsburg's landmark Caldwell Consistory for the 10th Anniversary of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble's world famous and locally renowned "Taming of the Brew," we were greeted by some festive tunnage brought forth by the squeezings of some Uilleann Pipes.
There was also some nice schwag available. I managed to pick up a very nice key shaped bottle opener from these fine chaps.
There was a substantional crowd, as usual, but the crush just didn't seem to be as oppressive as in years past.
Our crew of home brewing afficionados were in unanimous agreement that the gang from River House Brew Pub, just over the bridge from Lewisburg @ 2890 Rt. 405, Milton, PA 17847, PH# 570-523-1900, riverhousebrewpub.com, had the best tasting micro-brews onsite. Their delicious stout had me at nitrous and the Black IPA and Hat Trick Triple were all noteworthy. This micro-brewery will be a very convenient waypoint on our upcoming forays along Rt. 45 while travelling to and from the Green Drake laden waters of Penns Creek.
Coats were quickly hugn and our small band entered the room to great fanfare.
The foodstufs were abundant and delicious. The raosted pig was particularly noteworthy as were the fun people serving it.
Nothing assists in the consumption / digestion of a good pork sandwich like some live music. The String Band was quite good. There was some discussion about hiring the quintet for the upcoming Memorial Day deck party...There was also some nice schwag available. I managed to pick up a very nice key shaped bottle opener from these fine chaps.

Oompah-loompah style!
Curli removes the skunk from a particularly challenging local stream.Just in case you couldn't see the lovely stream bred brown trout in the previous photo.
There are several more pictures of Sunday's events on a camera that is not mine...
It was a fine Sunday conclusion to the most seasonable weekend this year. Everywhere we went we found feesh willing to play the game with us. Of particular note were the playahs at the previously alluded to Carlisle area spring creek who were giving it up for the size 16/14 little black stoneflies.
Aside from the second rate Kunzler Bacon breakfast snadwich, it was a fine, fine day.

The Feathered Hook in Coburn, PA
The Feathered Hook is known in the Penns Creek fishery as a great place to pick up the specialized flies needed to fool the ultra-selective Penns Creek Brown trout. Who knew they were You-Tube celebreties as well?

Welcome New Minions
I will take this opportunity to officially welcome the two most recent additions to the Minions, the spritely "Bear,"
and the always affable raconteur Richard "Dick" Carroll.
May their blog contributions be both pointed and obtuse.

Yuengling Expanding Again?
Dick Yuengling is contemplating expanding again into a fourth brewery located in Tennessee.
This would further cement America's oldest brewery's solid standing as a fine regional craft brewer.
The reported increase in capacity to over 7 million barrels per year would certainly move Yuengling up the list of U.S. brewers.
