While salmon are still sadly thin on the ground, one or two have been landed recently by fly fishers at the Arundell Arms.
A fresh grilse (returned) for Alexander Jones, caught in July on a Black and Orange Tube. Oak Tree Pool, beat 7A.
...and another on the same day for Alexander; 12-14lb (returned)on the same fly in Lydfoot, beat 7A.
It's not impossible to hook Tamar salmon in rising water!
An August 10-pounder for Tim Smith in Lydfoot. The fish took an Orange Templedog.
The fish was safely returned to the river.
