Highland Lakes, CA
I've seen the board has been kinda slow. Thought I would share some photo's from a camping trip to Highland Lakes during the Fourth of July where we caught several trout. The North Fork of the Mokelumne River flows from lower Highland Lakes and provides challenging fishing as well.

Mokelumne River, CA Fly Fishing Report

Didn't have a lot of time today so I made a quick trip to the Mokelumne River below Camanche Dam. I fished from below the hatchery for about a mile maybe. i was there for about three hours and hooked a few and managed to land one about twelve inches in length using a brown wooley bugger size #12-14. Flows are still pretty high and it's the middle of July. They are still releasing alot of water due to the abudant snow snow in the higher elevations. One last note: I thought I ran into Sean Wallentine! but it was a gentleman who was the spitin' image of him.
