Gambles and Scaled Quail 

Gamble's track

My friend Steve Hopkins owner of Arizona Quail Guides   hit the Desert  to explore some new country ,we had a blast.Everywhere we stopped we found Quail and lots of sign ,namely Tracks in the washes and around watering holes .
The first spot we stopped Ted ,Spot ,Cruz and Reba got into a covey of around 30 Scalies , Ted and Spot got some points on the running birds and Reba did a great job on the retrieve on the Bird I shot .
Steve and I made our own tracks through  the  Desert checking out some spots then we  hit  a little cafe for some lunch .After that it was back to the field for some Gambles action, Buddy and Slick found   two Coveys in a wash and I took a bird out of one of coveys. Our next stop found no birds but lots of sign , maybe someone was there before us ?somehow the Birds eluded Okie and Reba  . Both Steve and I where pretty excited about what we saw ..more tracks and lots of them .We are seeing birds on all fronts but rain would help with the very dry scenting conditions .
