Taming of the Brew: A Review

Upon entry to Bloomsburg's landmark Caldwell Consistory for the 10th Anniversary of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble's world famous and locally renowned "Taming of the Brew," we were greeted by some festive tunnage brought forth by the squeezings of some Uilleann Pipes.
Coats were quickly hugn and our small band entered the room to great fanfare.
The foodstufs were abundant and delicious.  The raosted pig was particularly noteworthy as were the fun people serving it.

Nothing assists in the consumption / digestion of a good pork sandwich like some live music.  The String Band was quite good.  There was some discussion about hiring the quintet for the upcoming Memorial Day deck party...
There was also some nice schwag available.  I managed to pick up a very nice key shaped bottle opener from these fine chaps.
There was a substantional crowd, as usual, but the crush just didn't seem to be as oppressive as in years past.
Our crew of home brewing afficionados were in unanimous agreement that the gang from River House Brew Pub, just over the bridge from Lewisburg @ 2890 Rt. 405, Milton, PA 17847, PH# 570-523-1900, riverhousebrewpub.com, had the best tasting micro-brews onsite.  Their delicious stout had me at nitrous and the Black IPA and Hat Trick Triple were all noteworthy.  This micro-brewery will be a very convenient waypoint on our upcoming forays along Rt. 45 while travelling to and from the Green Drake laden waters of Penns Creek.
All in all a fun and fulfilling evening.  Fun enough that I awoke to a headache, fulfilling enough that I remembered enough to compile this review.
