Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, near Lake City, CO
We woke to a bitterly cold temperature of 17 degrees. This was our last day of fishing. We decided to return to the public waters just above Lake San Cristobol. Our hope was it would be a little more generous. We were wrong. Erik was the only one to haul out a trout from this stretch. He landed a nice 16" Bow on a brown San Juan Worm. With time running short on our last day, we returned to the Davis and Smith pond for a final farewell. Sean and I got on the board for the day with some nice fish. Erik and Dad spent the rest of the afternoon exploring American Basin. The evening included our regular dinner with the Files and packing for our return trips home.
