Are we nearing the end of runoff?

I'm probably going to jinx us just by mentioning this. But conditions on the NFCDA seem to be improving and we've heard/read quite a few reports of fish being caught. Now you have to take this with the proverbial grain of salt. This is not a high numbers game at this point and you will not "Knock Em Dead" but there is the chance to get into fish if you know how and where to look.

The first graph is the USGS forecast for the NFCDA at Enaville (Aka the Snake Pit). You can see it shows flows bumping up quite a bit over the next few days before really starting to taper off. Most likely brought on by warmer temps and rain.

But the exciting part is the second graph. So far the bump is not a significant as predicted. Hopefully by late this week we'll begin to turn the corner.

Keep in touch with us. John will be up on the river tomorrow and will have a fresh report. For those of you who love Cutthroat fishing keep hanging in there. Your patience is about to be rewarded.
